1.1. This Notice explains how Vota, the form and survey builder consisting of a web application at vota.dozy.site (the "Service"), uses cookies and similar device storage technologies. The Service is operated by David Kelen, an individual established in France, trading under the name "Dozy" ("Operator", "we", "us" or "our").
1.2. The Service does not use advertising, marketing, or third-party analytics cookies, and does not track you across other websites or services. Because the Service uses only strictly necessary storage and storage that supports functions you request, no consent banner is presented.
1.3. This Notice should be read together with the Vota Privacy Policy.

2.1. To create or manage forms you sign in with your Dozy account. The Dozy sign in system sets a single authentication cookie, scoped to the dozy.site domain, that keeps you signed in across the Dozy services, including Vota. This cookie is strictly necessary: without it you cannot stay authenticated and the parts of the Service that require sign in will not function.
2.2. This cookie is set and controlled by the Dozy account system and is described in the Dozy Privacy Policy at dozy.site. Vota does not set any cookies of its own.
2.3. A Respondent who opens a published form that does not require sign in is not asked to authenticate and is not subject to this cookie for the purpose of responding.

The Service stores the following data locally in your browser using the browser storage mechanisms (localStorage). This data is used to make the Service work and to let you resume what you were doing. It stays on your device and is not sent to us except where it forms part of a normal request to the Service.
The Service does not use sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or the Cache Storage API, and does not cache pages or media for offline use.
For a signed in Respondent, an in progress draft is stored on the Service instead of only in the browser, as described in the Vota Privacy Policy, and is deleted when the response is submitted.

4.1. If a Creator enables notifications for a form, the Service registers a service worker in the Creator's browser and creates a web push subscription with the push service of that browser. The service worker is used only to receive and display these notifications; it does not cache or intercept other content.
4.2. This registration only happens after the Creator grants notification permission in the browser. The push subscription is stored by the Service so that a notification can be sent when a new response arrives, as described in the Vota Privacy Policy. The Creator can withdraw permission at any time in the browser settings, after which the subscription is no longer used and is removed.
4.3. Notifications are sent only to a form's Creator. Respondents are not sent notifications and are not asked for notification permission.

In the production version of the Service, an error and performance reporting component sends diagnostic events to our error reporting provider, as described in the Vota Privacy Policy. This component operates without setting cookies.
6. Managing storage

6.1. You can clear cookies and local storage for the Service through your browser settings.
6.2. Signing out removes the shared authentication cookie for the Dozy services on that device.
6.3. Clearing this storage will sign you out and remove your saved theme preference, the builder clipboard, and any unsent form drafts and submission counts held in that browser. The Service will reload data from the server on next use.
6.4. A Respondent can clear a saved draft or submission count for a form by clearing site data for vota.dozy.site in their browser.

We may amend this Notice from time to time. The current version is identified by the effective date at the top. If we make a material change, we will provide notice through the Service or by email before it takes effect.
