This page explains how Dozy communicates with you via notifications and system messages. Dozy does not operate an advertising mailing list. All communications are service-related and sent only to registered users of the platform.
Dozy's mailing list refers exclusively to the system of automated notifications and service communications sent to users. These messages are not promotional or marketing emails. They are operational messages triggered by activity on your account or by the actions of people collaborating with you. You are automatically enrolled in these communications when you create a Dozy account. There is no separate sign-up process, because these messages are a core part of how Dozy works and they inform you of things happening in real time within the platform.
Dozy sends a project invitation message when another user invites you to collaborate on a project.
Dozy sends an invitation accepted message when someone you invited accepts your project invite.
Dozy sends an invitation declined message when someone you invited declines your project invite.
Dozy sends a task update message when a collaborator makes a change to a shared task.
Dozy sends a collaborator left message when a collaborator removes themselves from a shared project.
Dozy sends an account confirmation message when you register a new account, in order to verify your email address.
Dozy sends a password reset message when you request a password reset link.
Dozy sends a subscription confirmation message when your subscription plan changes, including upgrades, downgrades, or cancellations.

Dozy will never send you newsletter-style content.
Dozy will never send you advertisements or sponsored messages.

Dozy will never send you unsolicited messages of any kind.
Notifications are delivered in two ways: as in-app notifications visible within the Dozy interface, and as web push notifications sent to your browser if you have granted permission. Email notifications may be sent for certain events such as account confirmation and password reset. All email delivery is handled by EmailOctopus, a third-party transactional email service. EmailOctopus processes your email address solely for the purpose of delivering these messages on Dozy's behalf. EmailOctopus does not use your email address for its own marketing purposes. For EmailOctopus's privacy policy, see emailoctopus.com/legal/privacy.
You can control which in-app and push notifications you receive from within Dozy's Settings panel. Transactional emails relating to account security, such as password resets and account confirmation, cannot be disabled, as they are essential to the safe operation of your account.
